Landon Bordner is a community pharmacist and pharmacy manager at CVS Pharmacy, practicing primarily in the Central Pennsylvania region, where he has worked since 2016 as a pharmacy technician and pharmacist intern. In addition to his current position, Landon has also worked as a Clinical Pharmacist in Specialty Pharmacy Outpatient Services at Penn State Hershey Medical Center and as an Immunizing Pharmacist with Hershey Pharmacy in the past. Landon actively serves as the primary preceptor to pharmacy students and as an Adjunct Field Instructor for Experiential Education at Duquesne University School of Pharmacy.
He received his Bachelor of Science, Master of Business Administration, and Doctor of Pharmacy degrees from Wilkes University Nesbitt School of Pharmacy and Jay S. Sidhu School of Business and Leadership Dual Degree Program in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania in 2022. He has also completed an additional certification in tobacco cessation from Duquesne University in 2024.
His professional interests include pharmacy operations, business leadership, point of care testing, tobacco cessation, pharmacy education, pharmacy law and regulations, and federal/state controlled substance laws and regulations.
Landon held multiple leadership positions at Wilkes University within pharmacy organizations at the university, state, and national levels, as well as several teaching and research positions. Most notably, he completed a second research internship relating to pharmacy law education with MPJE Made Easy - overseen by pharmacist attorney and Adjunct Professor of Pharmacy Law, Jerry Musheno, RPh, Esq. Landon's accomplishments include the development of mock pharmacy law exam questions for twenty-three states, author of two chapters on USP 800 for Pennsylvania and New Jersey study manuals, and creation of a navigational guide for both pharmacy and controlled substance laws and regulations for each jurisdiction in the United States. In addition, Landon researched these jurisdictions for relevant updates that may impact mock exam or review manual content for Pennsylvania and New Jersey, updated review manuals and mock exams based on applicable research and kept abreast of the latest developments in key areas such as the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and the Food Drug Administration (FDA) that impacts educational materials.
Landon is an active member of the Pennsylvania Pharmacists Association (PPA), American Pharmacists Association (APhA), and Kappa Psi Pharmaceutical Fraternity Inc. (Delta Omicron initiate and Harrisburg Graduate chapters), American Health Law Association (AHLA), and the American Society for Pharmacy Law (ASPL) serving on various local, statewide, and national committees.
